God Always Comes Through
My journal is filled with desperate prayers concerning what have often felt like daunting problems.
- Conversations I’m concerned will be difficult and not go the way I hope.
- Issues of provision and uncertainty surrounding how God will provide.
- Circumstances outside my control that need changing.
You may wake up this morning feeling like there is no hope, no way you’ll make it through the day, no way you can put up with anything more, but by God’s grace, you’ll wake up tomorrow realizing God’s grace has carried you over yet another seemingly insurmountable obstacle. But don’t take my word for it. I pray Psalm 121 would give you much faith in our gracious God who always comes through…
I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
My help comes from the LORD,
who made heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot be moved;
he who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, he who keeps Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD is your keeper;
the LORD is your shade on your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,
nor the moon by night.
The LORD will keep you from all evil;
he will keep your life.
The LORD will keep
your going out and your coming in
from this time forth and forevermore.
- Psalm 121
Great word Pastor. Thanks for the reminder. Prayer over anxiety.
Amen! Reminds me of Joshua 3 and 4 – Crossing the Jordan.
We actually used this picture of “stones of remembrance” to remind ourselves of the great things God has done in and for our family.
At one point, we actually used pictures of stones taped to a window in our kitchen as a visible reminder of God’s faithfulness “yesterday” so that we could trust Him today and tomorrow.
Great visual illustration deployed by my wonderful wife…Thanks Laura!!!
Love it! Thanks Mike.
