We'll simply disagree. As I wrote there are a few people who are able to pull it off well, but by in large as guys are getting started my three reasons have better odds of being accomplished through a manuscript than no notes. You may not need it and that's great, but MOST people starting out will greatly suffer with no notes. Thanks again for taking the time to read my post and for leaving your thoughts. Barebones framework (with copious notes on points as needed) is my method. My brother uses a manuscript which works the best for him. When I've used them my sermons suffer... and so do the people in the congregation. This is a style issue not a discipline issue. None or your reasons require a manuscript.
