This Sunday marks the start of our new Christmas series we're calling, "Reclaiming Christmas: Taking back the true story." Here's why we're so excited about this series.
Christmas has been hijacked.
What was once a time to celebrate the birth of God’s gracious rescue of this world has become a frantic few months of consumerism, depression, conflict and stress. Sadly, we’re often so busy with what Christmas has become that we’ve forgotten what it truly is.
We’ve forgotten the story.
On a normal night, in a nothing town, everything changed. The long awaited and desperately needed King was born.
It’s time to push back against what Christmas has become and reclaim what Christmas truly is.
It’s time to take back the true story.
Throughout December I'll be posting sermon summaries and podcast links each Wednesday. If you are in the area and don't currently have a church home, I'd love it if you'd spend Christmas worshiping with us. You can find all the necessary info here.
I would love your prayers throughout this month as we will see a lot of new faces. We're laboring to be faithful with this life-changing story and asking God for fruit this Christmas season.
