From The Field
Pastoral ministry often feels more like war than a perpetual worship service.
Even when a ministry is thriving on the outside, a pastor may be quietly dying on the inside. The problem is that pastors’ hearts and minds are often not prepared for the internal and external enemies that will war against them in ministry. While a podcast can't solve this problem, it can help start the conversation. That's the goal for From The Field with Ryan Huguley:
Real conversations with regular pastors.
Today we launch episode 1 and I’d love for you to check it out and let me know what you think.
My first conversation is with Pastor CB Barthlow, who is planting Beacon Church in inner city Denver. After a decade of addiction Jesus grabbed Pastor CB by the heart and set him on fire for those who are far from God. In our conversation Pastor CB opens up about straddling the two worlds of addiction and ministry, the life changing conversation with his two young sons that changed everything and how he deals with fear and set backs in church planting.
Thanks for listening and let me know what you think!
