After a lifetime of walking with God and more than 20 years invested pastoring people in the local church, I have come to a sobering, but unshakable conviction:

Most of us settle for God at a distance when intimate relationship is offered.

We read an old Book, but rarely experience the God it describes. We speak prayers into the ether, but hear nothing in response. We fill our Sundays with sermon and songs, but walk unchanged and uncertain if any of it is even true.

So we settle. Apparently, this is life with God.

An old Book.

One sided prayers.

Endless church services.

But here’s the problem…

Something in our souls knows there is more.

And that old Book? It confirms this longing that lives within us.

God wants us to experience Him in the pages of Scripture. God wants to talk with us about the deepest parts of our lives. God wants to form us in His image. God wants a deep, healing relationship with us…with you.

The question is, how do we refuse to settle for God at a distance and instead, design our lives for the deep relationship for which we’re designed?

This is where I want to help.

As a writer, I put honest, accessible, and helpful language to our shared experience of faith, in hopes that it can help guide you toward love for God, yourself, and those around you.

As a speaker, I teach the Scriptures in a way that makes you think deeply about some sizable questions, understand God’s unrelenting pursuit of you, and hopefully helps you laugh (at least a little bit).

As a spiritual director, I help position people in the presence of God, in hopes of helping them recognize where God is and what He’s doing in their life, so they can discern how He’s inviting them to respond.
