My Background and Training:
I have been in vocational ministry for over 20 years. I have served as a worship pastor, lead pastor, church planter and spiritual director. My biblical and theological education came through Trinity International University and the Moody Bible Institute. I complicated the two year Spiritual Formation and Art of Spiritual Direction program and was certified through Healing Care Ministries.
Focus:
The guidance of the Holy Spirit in the important areas of your life.
Learning to pray and connect with the Lord in ways that deepen your relationship.
Helping you to find the answers within – so you will be able to discern your own path as listen to the voice of God.
Using spiritual disciplines to position you to have deep experiential connections with God.
Directee Engagement:
You will be encouraged to focus on Scripture, prayer and other spiritual practices as you open your soul to the guidance of Holy Spirit in session and in life. There will naturally be growth assignments as we journey together that may involve reading, creativity, and life choices as you respond to Holy Spirit and the invitation to new ways of being.
This is not psychotherapy, counseling (crisis or otherwise) or mental health support. If you need that type of assistance, I will pray with you as you find another resource in your community. Depending on your current life situation, you may wish to incorporate other forms of support along with spiritual direction.
